Why it exists

The original offline viewer, rebuilt for now.

One of the first Control-C tools, built in 2010, was a standalone Windows and macOS application for viewing, querying, and exporting backups locally. The purpose was simple: customers should always be able to access and verify their own data independently of any live platform.

In-Control revives that idea on a new technology stack. Instead of a legacy desktop application, it runs directly in the browser, fully offline, against local backup data on your own machine.
